The Connor Claire brand is all about my favorite things in the world, and it's also named after my daughter.

I started Connor Claire because... Well, honestly, I blame the shower...because that's where I got the idea, standing under the water, wrangling my unruly hair into shampooed submission.

One day I was in there giving myself a scalp massage (because if you don't do it, nobody else will, ya know?), and I started thinking of cute cats to draw and slogans to put on shirts.

Then I immediately started cracking up! -- and yes, damn right, I am that person who laughs maniacally to herself in the bathroom.

Anyway...that's where the idea to start Connor Claire was born.

The brand is a big hug across the Internet, so to speak, to the friends I've made (both human and cat) through Makeup and Beauty Blog. I'm inspired by your kindness, your passion for makeup, your flair for fun and, of course, your love for the felines.

We're located in the town of Novato, California, which is about 30 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco.

As part of Team Connor Claire, my responsibilities include working as the official Connor Claire designer, photographer, product tester, copywriter and occasional model.

My daughter, the real life Connor Claire (please don't call her "C.C."), occasionally pops up here and there to strike a pose, and my husband, also known as "El Hub," helps keep the Connor Claire website up and running.

And last, but not least, the cats. Because life is more fabulous with a feline friend, am I right? 😺

You’ll see two kitties gracing these pages. The torbie with the most spectacular orange rosettes (and plenty of “torbie-tude” to spare) is Rosie, and she’s the newest member of Team Connor Claire. She’s a cuddle bug and will settle in for a session of sweet, sweet lovin’ on your lap in a heartbeat, but please be advised -- don’t even think about taking away her treats unless you want to get your eyes clawed out. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

Occasionally, you’ll also see Tabs, my gray striped tabby boy who crossed over to the rainbow bridge in 2019. He still graces us with his kitty modeling talents (true story: on days when I really miss him the most, I’ll hug a pillow that has his face on it). He continues to live on in my heart, and through Tabby’s Angels. Love you and miss you, sweet boy.
