(Shirt: Smoky Tee)

One of the things I love most about smoky eyes is that there are endless ways to do them. You can make smoky eyes as complicated or as easy as you want. This is my current fave “four ingredient” smoky eye formula for daytime-friendly taupe-brown lids.

Begin by blending a dark matte brown cream eyeshadow like Chantecaille Mermaid Eye Matte in Bee from lash line to crease.



Next, grab your favorite neutral palette (I’m using the MAC Art library Palette in Nude Model).



Sweep a matte brown into the crease, and pat a shimmery taupe on to the mobile lid (that’s the area that moves when you blink). If you want, blend a light beige or pink on your brown bones and in the inner corners of your eyes for highlights.

Next, line your lashes with a matte dark brown liner like MAC Coffee.



Finish by coating your lashes with mascara. My go-to at the moment is Mile-High Club Mascara by Wander Beauty.
